Geoscientists and hydrologists: study the composition, structure and other physical aspects of the Earth, and the earths geologic past and present. Searching for natural resources like groundwater, minerals, metals and petroleum. Geophysicist: specialize in areas - geodesy, seismology and magnetic geophysics.
Hydrologist: specialize in either underground or surface water.

Oceanographers: study the worlds oceans and coastal waters.
